One of the goals of the Carroll Independent School District Nurses is to advocate an environment that is conducive to the promotion and maintenance of health. It is our desire to work with our community in the attainment of our goal.

The Community Emergency Response Team course and certification is a perfect venue to accomplish this goal. We feel it is extremely important that the school district and the city work together in the event of a crisis or disaster.

As members of the District Crisis Team we will be able to work with the city and its disaster team in a coordinated and efficient manner. We think it is important that we understand the plan and actions the city’s team would employ in the event of a disaster and that we can contribute with our medical background and practice.

It is our hope that the ultimate outcome would be beneficial and lifesaving for the community and the students we serve.
